Notary Privacy Policy

SWITCH SAFE NOTARY — PRIVACY POLICY

Effective date:10/13/2026

Who we are

Switch Safe Notary is operated by Naomi Israel in Long Beach, California. This policy explains how we handle information collected through switchsafenotary.com and while providing mobile notarization, loan signing, apostille coordination, and related customer services.

Contact us about privacy:

Email: service@switchsafenotary.com

Information we collect

We collect information you provide when requesting a quote, contacting us, booking an appointment, submitting documents, buying a product, paying an invoice, or subscribing to The Signing Duchess Bulletin. This may include your name, email, telephone number, appointment address, service instructions, messages, documents, and payment or order records.

For apostille services, we may need the document type, issuing state or country, destination country, deadline, recipient details, and the documents needed to complete your request. Loan signing documents may contain financial and identifying information provided by you or the company arranging the signing.

For notarizations, we examine identification and record information required by California law. Required journal entries may include identification details, your signature, and a thumbprint for certain transactions. We do not collect a thumbprint merely because you visit our website. Examining identification does not mean we automatically retain a photograph or copy of it.

Our website and its providers may also collect your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referring pages, and information from cookies or similar tools.

How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries; prepare quotes; arrange and perform services; verify identity as required; coordinate document delivery and processing; collect payments; provide receipts and downloads; maintain required records; prevent fraud; protect our website; and handle complaints or legal obligations.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your contact information to send it. An inquiry or appointment request is not, by itself, permission to send promotional text messages. Appointment communications may still be needed to provide your requested service.

Who receives information

We disclose information when needed to provide your service or meet legal obligations. Depending on your request, recipients may include:

• Website, email, booking, file-storage, security, and payment providers.

• Title companies, escrow companies, lenders, signing services, or other authorized participants in a signing.

• Secretaries of State, other government offices, consulates, embassies, document recipients, and delivery or courier services involved in an apostille or authentication request.

• Professional advisers, insurers, regulators, courts, or law enforcement when reasonably necessary for a lawful request, dispute, investigation, or legal duty.

We limit disclosures to the information needed for the purpose. Service providers also handle information under their own privacy policies. Documents sent to an overseas recipient or agency may be handled under that country's rules. We discuss the requested destination and service with you before arranging delivery.

Sale and advertising use

Switch Safe Notary will never sell your information.

Website tools, cookies, and tracking

Our site is hosted by GoDaddy. It uses Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent spam and includes Vimeo video content. These services may receive technical information when you use the site, interact with a form, or load a video. Their technologies may collect information about activity over time and across other websites. Payment and booking services may collect additional information when you use them.

You can manage cookies through your browser and any cookie settings offered on this site. Blocking cookies may affect some features. Visiting this site does not, by itself, authorize unrelated uses of sensitive documents or waive your privacy rights.

California Do Not Track disclosure

Switch Safe Notary will never track your information.

Global Privacy Control is a separate signal. Where applicable law requires us to honor it, we will do so. This policy does not replace configuring the website and its advertising tools to respect required choices.

Payments and bookings

Payment details entered at checkout are handled by the payment provider. We receive transaction information needed to identify, reconcile, or refund an order, which may include limited payment-method details. Do not send full card numbers or banking credentials through our contact form, email, or text.

If you use online booking, the booking provider receives the contact details and service information needed to arrange your appointment. Connected calendars may receive appointment details. Clients should see available booking times, not other clients' private calendar entries. We do not request document contents or identification numbers merely to reserve a time.

Sensitive documents

For an initial quote, provide the document type, origin, destination, and deadline rather than a complete confidential document. Please do not send Social Security numbers, identification images, medical records, full loan packages, or other sensitive materials through the general website form unless we have arranged an appropriate transfer method.

We use documents for the requested service and related recordkeeping. We do not use client documents or notary journal information as marketing content. Sending a document to a notary does not create attorney-client confidentiality or privilege.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the service, payment and accounting records, legal requirements, and legitimate disputes. The period depends on the record's purpose and applicable requirements. We review ordinary service files and dispose of information when it is no longer needed. Backup copies may remain until the normal backup cycle replaces them.

Notary journals are subject to separate legal requirements. We cannot erase, alter, or destroy a required journal entry simply because someone asks us to delete it. Specific journal entries may have to be disclosed in response to a legally sufficient request. Journals may also have to be surrendered or transferred to the appropriate public office as California law requires. These rules do not make an entire client document package publicly available.

Your choices and requests

Contact us to ask what information we hold about you, correct ordinary customer information, request deletion of information we no longer need, or stop promotional communications. Use the unsubscribe option in a newsletter or contact us directly.

We may need to verify your identity before providing information or acting on a request. Please do not send identification documents until we explain what verification is needed. Some records cannot be deleted because of notary, accounting, legal, or dispute-related obligations. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain the applicable reason. We will respond within any deadline required by law.

If a privacy law applies to your request, we will honor the rights it provides, including any applicable rights to access, correction, deletion, portability, limits on sensitive-information use, or opting out of sale or advertising sharing. We will not penalize you for exercising a legally protected privacy right.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No website, email service, physical delivery, or storage system is completely secure. If a security incident requires notification under applicable law, we will provide that notification. This statement does not excuse our legal responsibilities.

Children

Our website is intended for adults arranging services and is not directed to children under 13. Do not let a child submit information through the site without adult involvement. A child's information contained in a document submitted by an authorized adult is used for the requested service and applicable recordkeeping. Contact us if you believe a child submitted information directly without appropriate authorization.

Changes to this policy

We will post an updated policy and effective date on this page when our practices change. For a material change affecting information already collected, we will provide additional notice and obtain consent when required by law.
